International Order in a Globalizing World (Global Interdisciplinary Studies Series)

This volume reflects a recognition that globalization is leading to fundamental changes in world order, creating new imperatives and requiring new ways of understanding the international system. Two of the most important actors in the contemporary international system are the United States and Europe and their relationship is fundamental in shaping international order. This volume: deals with issues that transcend national and cultural boundaries; covers areas such as international terrorism and intelligence, sovereignty and democracy and institutions and international organizations; and, analyzes what is to be done to assure a stable international order.
